The journey that the Children of Israel made from the bondage of Egypt into the Promised Land is an incredible spiritual picture of the believer's walk with God. Unfortunately, many of God's people today never make it into their Promised Land. They waste away in the deserts of broken relationships, lack of finances, unsatisfying careers, and low expectations. But the "Promised Land" God has for His children is a land of blessing and a life with a great future.

He is the former Chaplin for the New Orleans Saints and a best selling author with over 250,000 books in print.

In 1998, Jacob and his wife, Michelle, founded Our Savior’s Church in Broussard, Louisiana which has now expanded to additional campuses in Lafayette and Opelousas, Louisiana. They have been instrumental in planting churches throughout the Gulf Coast Region and currently oversee ten churches. Jacob and Michelle were married in 1982 and have six children; five sons and one daughter.
